The Transformative Urban Coalitions (TUC) project seeks to shift the dominant model of decarbonization from a technical engineering endeavour to one that also acknowledges and grapples with the social, political, and informational complexities of deep transformation. The purpose of this document is to present the cohesive global vision of the TUC Project. It highlights theoretical groundings, the shape and scope of activities of the project, and the long-term objectives of the project’s interventions in the five pilot cities and globally. Finally, the document elaborates on the ultimate goal of the TUC project - creating an enabling environment that will lead to urban transformation towards socially just zero carbon cities – and by which activities this would be reached.
