The Alliance for the Centre of Recife is a multi-sectoral network formed by representatives of the public sector, civil society, the private sector, universities, and residents of the Pilar Community. Originating from the Alliances for Urban Transformation project, the initiative has established
itself as a space for cooperation dedicated to the inclusive and sustainable transformation of the territory in which it operates. It also promotes participatory, transparent, and adaptable governance.
In 2025, following four years of activities coordinated by WRI Brasil, the Alliance established its shared governance model, the result of a collective process of listening, analysis, and consensus-building, supported by specialized consulting. This model, formalized in the Collective Pact, establishes roles, responsibilities, routines, and flows that ensure the continuity of actions and the progressive autonomy
of the group.
